South African-British DJ Kusasa has been making waves as a selector and party starter within the UK club scene, influencing dance floors across cities for the past few years.

Her sets are a seamless fusion of sounds that transcend genres. With her background in dance, combined with a rich musical upbringing, she channels her natural gift into every mix, layering warm percussive beats with infectious grooves that keep the energy high and the crowd moving.

As a resident at both CROP and Steam Radio, Kusasa puts in the work, consistently delivering fresh mixes. She also co-hosts Sounds of Resistance, a show that dives deep into the intersection of music and protest, exploring both renowned and obscure protest songs from across the globe, all while offering cultural and historical insight.  Kusasa has shared the stage with some of the most respected names in the game, including Aloka, Bianca Oblivion, Cameo Blush, Hodge, Lady Shaka, Papa Nugs, Sarra Wild, Shanti Celeste, Sharnie, Tash LC, and Yemz. She’s also performed at top-tier events like Adaptations Festival, We Out Here, Gottwood, Wax Palace, and Loud Places Festival.

Beyond her DJ sets, Kusasa is active in the wider scene, working as a Radio Producer at CROP Radio and recently hosting the RA x Sable Skills Lab: Making it as a DJ, where she spoke with NIKS and Tarzsa about building sustainable careers in DJing.
